Those were originally written with a 91 square body as the guinea pig so I'm not sure it's the same for the later models.

The screwdriver went into the metal part that actually latched...meaning the movable part on the gate (not glass part). This is the same part that you loosen when you loosen the 10 mm bolts. I no longer have that vehicle to take pictures of so maybe someone else can help out.

I attempted the directions, thing is stil driving me nuts, i looked at the latch on the glass itself it appears to be worn, were can i get a new replacement latch?------------------

found a replacement latch installed it------it worked ther is a muffle chirp slighly heard, but know my back glass wont pop and ive never been able to get the ket to pop the glass of hatch----broke many keys, its just to hard to turn, i could put key in and turn with pliers but kept breaking keys.

I am having the same issue with my truck, since I bout the truck the rear hatch wouldnt open. I havent fiddled with it though. I will try to figure mine out and let you know.
